1989. This song came out in 1989. It still holds up. In fact, you could really say that for most of GNR's collection. It all still holds up. They weren't really a hair band outside of their look. They were something much different musically, which is why everyone still wanted Chinese Democracy 15 years after the fact. They were kings among men in their heyday, long before Axel showed up with braids and a fubu jersey, and about 75 extra pounds.
