Lovers' Quarrel Causes $8,000 Damage to Hotel Room

MacroNews: A lovers’ quarrel ended in jail for a New Hampshire couple Tuesday, after Naples (FL) Police said they trashed the hotel room where they were staying.

According to Naples Police reports, on Monday Naples officers responded to the Staybridge Suites, 4805 U.S. 41 N., in reference to a possible fight in the fourth floor.

When officers arrived at the scene, reports said they found 22-year-old Danielle V. Marceau who told them that she and her boyfriend Tyler Twombly- who was not in the room- had gotten into a verbal argument after she brought another man to their hotel room to have sex.

Marceau told deputies that Twombly was responsible for the room damage, including broken furniture, a broken mirror, and a shattered toilet tank. The total damage to the room was estimated at $8,000.

Reports said Twombly, 26, fled the scene, but that he was later picked up at a nearby relative’s house. Marceau, of Laconia, New Hampshire, and Twombly, of Gilford, N.H., were both taken into custody and charged with felony criminal mischief over $1,000.

Marceau was also charged with resisting arrest without violence.
