TheSun: Premier Inn (plans) to build the UK's first hotel with floating bedrooms. The hotel in London's Leicester Square will feature 84 bedrooms which "float" on neoprene pads to deaden noise from the square and a club below.

Walls and ceilings will be insulated and windows quadruple-glazed.

Patrick Dempsey, managing director of parent company Whitbread, said: "It means we can be confident about guaranteeing a good night's sleep, even in the heart of one of the world's liveliest entertainment centres."

The hotel is scheduled to open next February.
