New Zealand is an Island country in the South West pacific ocean. It is joined together with 3 main islands called North Island, South Island and Stewart Island. The Maori name for New Zealand is Aotearoa, meaning The Land of the Long White Cloud. The main languages spoken in New Zealand are English, Te Reo Maori and New Zealand Sign Language. Wellington is the capital city of New Zealand with Auckland, Christchurch and Dunedin as the other main centres. Wellington is famous because the prime minister, John Key, lives there and works in a very famous building named the Bee Hive.
