Songs We Used to Love

Black Gold certainly wasn't the most popular song from Soul Asylum, that honor goes to Runaway Train, but it was by far the best. God, remember how shitty that Runaway Train video was? You turn on MTV before school to rock out a bit and maybe try and squeeze in a JO to that Wicked Games video and instead you end up getting some longhair crying about not being loved and them showing pictures of actual runaways. No thanks dickbags, if I wanted to JO to this I'd just go grab the milk carton.

Anyways, may as well touch on the NBA, and David Stern in particular, fucking up the league again. Look you bunch of asshats, you accidentally let the players work the system to be able to create superteams before the work stoppage. Now you're going to let the small market owners try and tell the big money makers how to run shit? ALL YOU"RE DOING IS HANDING THE HEAT THE LEAGUE ON A GODDAMN SILVER PLATTER! Guess what, Chris Paul is not re-upping during or after the season. Now the "league-owned" Hornets are going to get nothing in return for their marquee player when they could have at least had some young talent and tradeable assets to play with. What a bunch of dumb fucks.

Now I am not a big market/no-parity person despite being a Laker fan by any means. I wanted the owners to destroy the shithole system that allowed Miami to happen. I'm all for each team having a career star like they did when I was a kid and each superstar taking their team into every night willing their role players to victory over another. But if you aren't going to fix the system, then don't you dare act pious about the big market team who can absorb the marquee name while helping the small market team fast forward the rebuilding process. It's bullshit of the highest order. Hope everyone enjoys Lebron and company winning handily because no one else is allowed to acquire superstars anymore and the new system somehow makes it EASIER for Miami to acquire real talent like Shane Battier to put around their Big Three.
