Already the most decorated individual Olympian in history, Phelps outswam teammate Ryan Lochte to take the gold (his 16th ever!) in the 200-meter individual medley – becoming the first male swimmer to win the same event at three consecutive Olympiads.
Uh...wow.
Lochte, meanwhile, had to settle for the silver.
Way to cap your Olympic career, dude! Oh, wait...Phelps ain’t done yet: he’s still got the 100-meter butterfly event later today and the 4x100 medley relay tomorrow.
And so I say again: Let’s do it, Michael. Go Team USA!.
