Daily Mail: Billie Joe Armstrong isn't going to be flying Southwest airlines any time soon.
The Green Day frontman got kicked off of a flight on Thursday because his trousers were riding too low, showing off his pants.
The 39-year-old singer took to Twitter to express his outrage after his airline debacle after being bumped from the Oakland-to-Burbank plane. 'Just got kicked off a southwest flight because my pants sagged too low!' he tweeted. 'What the f**k? No joke!'
Cindy Qiu, an ABC7 news producer who witnessed the calamity occur said that a flight attendant approached the pop-punk singer during takeoff and asked him to pull up his trousers. His initial response was to ask the attendant if there weren't 'better things to do than worry about [his pants]?'
When he refused to acquiesce, insisting he was just trying to get back to his seat, he and his traveling companion were given the boot. When Armstrong insisted he was just trying to get to his seat, he and a traveling companion were taken off the plane.
Southwest spokesman Brad Hawkins released a statement saying Armstrong was allowed onto the next flight to Burbank. He told a customer relations agent he had no further complaints about the Boulevard of Broken Dreams singer.
'As soon as we became aware of what had happened, we reached out to apologize for this Customer's experience," Hawkins' statement read.
At least Armstrong knows how to behave himself in the sky in comparison to other celebrities.
French actor Gerard Depardieu recently got drunk on a flight and peed in an aisle, while Minka Kelly reportedly had a meltdown when she coudln't sit with her dog on a Delta flight.
