... Penn State lost because Galen Hall is a cunt. I can only hope the Board of Trustees sees fit to fire him immediately for destroying the reputation of an entire university with his beyond-shit playcalling. There was no excuse for Penn State losing that game. Ahh, it's good to talk PSU football again. The healing has begun. But never forget America, Galen Hall is a cunt...
... Pro football was fantastic yesterday! Who needs Redzone (I chose to forego the package this year due to 13-16 pats games being nationally televised) when you have Eagles Schadenfreude? God damn that team is fun to root against. Oddly enough, as the losses pile up, it only feels better when they blow these games. Only 1 more loss till Jimbo owes me $15! On another, happier note, congrats to Gap's Dolphins on their two-game winning streak. My poor buddy has suffered through so much, so it's great to see his team starting to show signs of life. The way they're playing right now, they could maybe even win out. That schedule isn't very hard the rest of the way and it looks like a coaching staff has finally found a way to maximize Reggie Bush...
... Brady/Bellicheck broke Marino/Shula's tandem wins record last night. It's quite an accomplishment for the two as a pair, but let's not forget that individually, the latter tandem should still be the gold standard. Brady is nowhere near the pure passer that Dapper Dan was, despite the super bowl wins. And Dan was still a great success after Shula retired, whereas we aren't sure where Brady would stand sans Bellicheck. As for the coaches, where Bellicheck was a disaster in his previous stop, Shula was one of the best coaches in the game for about 4 decades. Before he went undefeated with the Dolphins, he won a Super Bowl with Johnny Unitas...
... I shouted Gap down about how NE was definitely going to lose last night. I was wrong. It feels good to be wrong sometimes...
... Allen Gregory showed so much promise in it's pilot, but has since fizzled. I don't know why I'm surprised, it's just following in the footsteps of its creator.
