The actor has gone and gotten himself arrested in Washington, D.C., and gotten event hotter (IMHO) in the process.
Clooney was picked up outside the Sudanese embassy today during a protest to decry Omar Al-Bashir, the Sudanese president, for his alleged war crimes. Embassy security handcuffed the Oscar winner after giving him thee verbal warnings to simma.
He didn’t.
The co-founder of the Sudan Sentinel Project with Congressman John Prendergast, Clooney testified before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee a couple of days ago, speaking out against the “campaign of murder” that is currently threatening impoverished locals in the African country.
Obviously, this is a cause that is dear to him, so he will wear this arrest as a badge of honor.
Keep at it, man. Keep at it.
