Liam Hemsworth reportedly has popped the question and Miley Cyrus has said yes, after, what, two years of on-off-mostly on dating.

Yep, the kids are engaged. May the odds be ever in their favor.

Look, I believe in love and L-U-V and in being young and in love and in L-U-V, but you guys are 22 and 19, respectively. Make it a long engagement, OK. Maybe pull a Brangelina and wait until everyone can get married?

The last thing the straights need is another poster couple for divorce.

Taking the Lead

Liam Hemsworth has it going on, and he’s got his eye on the kind of role that will let him showcase that, don’t you know, don’t you know.

The Hunger Games’ stud/second banana has booked the lead in Paranoia, a new espionage thriller to be directed by Robert Luketic, who’s best known for his work in the rom-com world (just ask Reese and Katherine et al.).

To add a bit of proven pedigree, the powers that be are talking to Harrison Ford and Gary Oldman about coming on board as well.

Not bad, Liam. Not bad at all.
