Well last night's draft sucked ass for me as a Laker fan, so fuck everyone. I'm going to ruin your weekend by jamming a shit song into your brain.
According to Billboard, this was the #1 song of 1994. Ace of Base, seriously? Were you trying to be clever by not using 'Bass'? What a fucking shit group and shit song. Oh, interesting tidbit, everyone in 1994 was so fucking retarded that not only did Ace of Base have the #1 song of the year, they also had numbers 9 and 10. 3 goddamn shit songs in the top ten of that year. Here is a list of albums that came out in 1994:
Green Day - Dookie
Weezer's self-titled
Oasis - Definitely Maybe
Nirvana's Unplugged
Nas - Illmatic
STP - Purple
Live - Throwing Copper
Beastie Boys - Ill Communication
Beck - Mellow Gold
... and a thousand more fucking amazing albums that are revered nearly 20 years after the fact. 1994 was one of the greatest all-time single years for rock and roll and rap. And yet there were enough pieces of shit in this country with fucking terrible taste that Ace of Base had 3 of the top 10 songs OF THE YEAR. What the fuck America? WHAT THE FUCK!?!?

Songs We Used to Love
Holy fucking fuck, how did everyone think this song was a good idea? And the fuck is with that hat? God damn the 90's were retarded. Will someone please come save this post? I need a double dip since I missed last week anyways.
Ah, that's better.

Songs We Used to Love
Nothing like taking a cheesy love song and making a video that literally has nothing to do with love. Look at all these sports references! Hootie and his boys are more than just a bunch of doofs, they also play sports poorly and spend shitloads of money on athlete appearances and the golden age of Sportscenter! Though I can't really argue with paying Dan Marino whatever it takes to look like a tool, lightly tossing footballs to the one guy on earth with worse hands than Gap.

Songs We Used to Love
I remember having this song on a mixtape at one point. I hope I burned it because that is an embarrassing fact. This is an ungodly terrible song and thank goodness pop music had the good sense to only give them one hit. This video is fucking vintage 90's though. A scary, horrible time capsule of perfectly age-defined clothing and effects. Seriously! So fucking bad!

Songs We Used to Love
Remember Warren G? The guy with talent from Regulators? Yeah, the one who's still alive. I hadn't heard this song in over a decade before this morning and now I know why. I remember a younger me thinking this song was awesome. Younger me was wrong. This song is terrible. There is literally nothing good about it. In hindsight, I should have just gone with Regulators. Or even Afro-Puffs.

Songs We Used to Love
You know, this song might feel less terrible if they never showed the two guys who sang it. It's catchy, fun, upbeat, blah blah blah... NERDS! At least they had the good sense in the US to show us scenes from Benny and Joon so we could stare at Johnny Depp and spend endless hours trying to determine whether or not Mary Stuart Masterson was attractive (hint: she wasn't then but looks like a MILFy good time now).
